An April Garland

Our next concert will be “An April Garland” a celebration of spring featuring an eclectic mix of music sacred and secular, ancient and modern, majestic and playful, tender and exuberant.  We will also be celebrating Holst’s centenary with three of his, very demanding (!), folk song arrangements.

For this concert we’re extremely fortunate to have as guest soloist Gethin Turner, a young trumpeter who will be treating us to music by Leonard Bernstein and Theo Charlier as well as Geoffrey Burgon’s Nunc Dimittis – the theme to the BBC’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy – also featuring our own Rachel Meldrum as soprano soloist.

The date is Saturday 20th April 2024, 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Prestwood. We’re very pleased to return to this venue with its wonderful acoustics. Adult tickets are £17 on the door or £15 in advance from Perfect Pitch in Chesham or call 07747 455704. 12-18s tickets are £5 and under 12s are free. A glass of wine or a soft drink is included in the price.
